Research is an important aspect of R&I Genetics' activities.

The R&I Genetics team develops both 'in-house' projects, aimed at enhancing its know-how and increasing its technical/scientific portfolio, and collaborative projects with public and/or private institutions, particularly the biomedical industry.

The main area of research is neuroscience where R&I Genetics has developed several clinical and pre-clinical research projects.

Over the years, continuous collaboration with Italian rare disease diagnosis centres has led to the publication of numerous scientific articles aimed at the dissemination of genetic data concerning new rare diseases rather than new associations between genes, genetic variants and phenotypes.
